East Villa Restaurant

We went for lunch after spending the whole day traveling to Nassau. The staff was friendly and attentive, but we were a bit disappointed with the food.

The orange beef was okay, but didn’t taste quite how I’d expect, and the pork dumplings were not that great. If I lived in Nassau, I probably wouldn’t return for the food. We were so hungry after our flights that we didn’t want to spend extra time to order something else.

The restaurant itself was clean and the decor fit the Chinese/Continental theme perfectly.

Delicious grill grouper fish comes with either french fry, bake potatoes or pasta plus rice, salad, bread and butter (very generous for the price. The Cantonese stir fry chicken noodle with vegetables is authentic and very good.

The food was amazing. It had a very unique taste that I'm sure to return to.

The service was absolutely impeccable, with staff being very attentive and professional while still maintaining a friendly and open atmosphere.

And about the atmosphere, The lighting was at a perfect level with uniform brightness. The natural wood giving a smell of longevity and experience. It really took me back to my grandparents home of old.

I will definitely be going back time and again.

The pineapple duck and fried rice is very good. The schezwan chicken was not good. It did not taste like anything at all. Couldn't taste the schezwan seasoning at all. Disappointing considering the price. Egg rolls are just full of cabbage. Salt and pepper wings are tasteless and oily. Needed some salt and pepper. The service was very slow. Waited ages to get waiters attention. Service seemed to be prioritised towards a 'certain clientele'

Food was hot and tasted good! Great portions. Ice Cream was premium. Service was delightful.

Horrible service food 1 out of 10 for most. Salty rice shrimp fried rice, returned to get garbage rice. Horrible customer service. The waiter had attitude when asked to separate the checks. Now I know why the last time I was here was 2012. Lost 30 customers for life.

Our food was amazing. Traditional Chinese flavors were infused in our kingdom ribs and pepper steak with pork fried rice. The complimentary soup appetizer was also warm and filling.

Real traditional Chinese restaurant. Food comes out quickly, staff is professional and the food is great!

The service was excellent we were seated immediately the coke soda was good the coffee the coffee some of the best coffee I've ever had the appetizers are to die for the shrimp fried rice oh my God the shrimp fried rice is the bomb I will definitely be going back here to eat the best Chinese restaurant in the Bahamas the wait staff you didn't have to ask for anything they was on time with everything definitely a must a must have to go here

No star for Ms Lee. I gave a constructive criticism of the food and she was angry. This is not the first bad encounter as I’ve been going here for years. She can sometimes be sassy and rude. Not a very pleasant woman and should be in the back sometimes, not in the front dealing with customers.

No star for the lobster fried rice. Years ago this was a 5 star rice. It had chunky pieces of salty lobster. It tasted from the sea. I spent $23 on rice that hardly had any lobster. And what pieces were bland tasteless flat and thin. Total rip-off. I could’ve just got egg fried rice and buy a lobster put it in the rice and it would’ve been great.

Also their shrimp is different. It’s smaller and just not as good.

Never again will I buy East Villa’s lobster fried rice.

For Mr. Lee I give him 5 stars. The rest of the food I give 3 stars. So final rating is 3/5. Mr Lee is very pleasant, easy to deal with, and gives excellent customer service.

East Villa was amazing! They didn't open until 6, but the man was kind enough to take our order way before their opening time and bring the food out to us! They definitely give you a lot of food for the reasonable prices. The Sczheuan Chicken was tantalizing, and spicy. The Curry Shrimp was incredible, just needed a few more shrimp.lol, the pork chop was tender! East Villa is definitely still the spot for excellent Chinese food!

The food was amazing, let me start there! Covid-19 protocols are in place & face masks are required. There's an automatic hand sanitizer at the door (upon entry). We were greeted pleasantly by the owners (I presume). Our order was Kingdom Ribs & egg-fried rice. The ambiance was calm, although indoor dining doesn't seem to be allowed at the moment. I enjoyed the fish tank at the front of the restaurant as well. Would like to visit again soon.

Totally Useless:
Walked a long way to get there just to find an empty parking lot and restaurant serving take out only.
Would have been nice to know that in advance. Just another of many sad experiences with local restaurants.

My favorite part about visiting Nassau is knowing that I will get to enjoy a meal from East Villa. Take-out Dine-in.never disappoints. Don't forget the dumplings!

Food was not fresh. Taste like it was microwave because my order was ready five minutes after I placed it. However the staff was friendly. Would not return back.

The food is great, the owners are helpful nice music soft and relaxing. It's also great for a romantic date.

Great atmosphere great food. Music is soothing. Wonderful lunch deals. Lemon chicken, general tso chicken, sweet and sour soup is really tasty. Love everything about the place. We go there every year.

It is cozy.our waitress was not attentive at all.the food had no season.but the host at the door was great.she greeted us with such a bright inviting smile even when we were leaving.ohhhh and the valet attendant awesome job young man very professional.

I’d give ten stars if I could! Bought some sea food from the market and the fishermen recommended this restaurant and they charge reasonable service fee to cook decently for you (probably not at the busy time)! Taste very good. The owner is friendly and recommended the best way to cook. They also offer takeout service and saw there were a lot of orders! Definitely will come next time in Bahamas.

I've been coming here for 20+ years. I've always felt safe eating the food vs.other Chinese restaurants. But I have to say the quality of the food has gone down over the years. The rice is very dry and the meat isn't plentiful for the price, esp the spare ribs. It's very expensive and the quality just isn't there anymore for me.
