Blue Conch Restaurant and Bar

Was able to spend a month on the island so we actually ate at this restaurant twice during our vacation.
The first time my wife and I ate there, the food was great, especially the lobster bisque.
The second time however, I ordered the same plate as before (lobster tail) and had it cooked the same way. I asked the waitress when I ordered for a small bowl of garlic butter for my wife's grouper and my broiled lobster tail.
When she came out with our food, she explained they didn't have garlic butter, so I asked for some just plain butter for our fish, potatoes and which seemed to be canned green beans.
She came back again and stated they didn't have any butter at all for our food.
We ate our food and my wife had ordered red wine (chilled for some reason) and I had a cocktail at 12 and 15 dollars a glass respectively, but knowing the prices on the island we knew that going in.
The ending to this, is that when we received the check, I happened to notice that they charged us 2 dollars for each 6 oz glass of warm water with no ice.
We were told that it was because it was bottled water, but never saw the bottle.
If you're spending 150 dollars for 2 people for dinner and drinks, water should have been included.
Needless to say we won't be back in this restaurant on our last week on the island.

We've already booked for another 4 weeks next year, so we will move on down the island.

I will say, everyone on this island has been extremely accommodating and friendly. Their waitstaff was the very same.
I'm normally a very generous tipper, and it's a shame the waitstaff suffers from the owners greed.

A short drive from Grand Isle. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer that was amazing and 2 lobster tails, one broiled and another broiled in butter and both were delicious. Plantains are a must! Super friendly staff, phenomenal view, and great service. Worth the trip from wherever you are in Exuma!

Shanette is super awesome. The smile the jokes and very friendly. Will recommend it anyone looking for good food, great service and agradable ambient. I will be back again and again.

Everything we've had here has been delicious. Crack chicken, Crack Conch, and sides. Baked Macaroni is the best we've had in the Bahamas. The jerk chicken wings have a very good taste with a nice kick. Dennis, the kitchen manager is running a good operation.
