Bahama Beach Club

First night here. Had an 8pm reservation at the restaurant. Got seated pretty much on time. However, after 20 minutes nobody came to our table. Parties that we observed seated after us had their bread, drinks, and orders in. while we had not seen a soul at our table. We finally got up and left.

Unfortunately, that means we're going without dinner tonight, since there is NOTHING else in this remote area.

Not a good first impression on our first night. Perhaps I'll come back and edit this review after our 2nd or 3rd night.

The best, most relaxing, organized, stress free, beautiful wedding destination! Kellie and Serenity went above and beyond to make the most memorable and beautiful wedding day! Bahama Beach Club will forever have a special place in our hearts!

Nice clean accommodations, friendly staff, well manicured lawn. The view on the beach was amazing, it was truly a paradise.

Accommodations are excellent. Big spacious condos great for families. Beach is amazing, was the place excursions took tourists to visit. Tip: if your staying for a week or longer to get the cab to go to the grocery store when picked up from the airport. No grocery store close by the resort, just a convenience store with limited options.

These are just a few things I've experienced that took far far longer than they should have.

After 30 unattended minutes at our table, we realized that much like Donald Trump's youngest daughter Tiffany, we had been completely forgotten about.

We approached staff to ask if someone would please serve us and, in a panic, a waitress scrambled over to our table quicker than Alec Baldwin to a Defense Attorney.

Feeling hungry but still patient, we ordered and joked about the situation. However, 20 minutes later, the waitress returned and told us that the kitchen is out of everything we had ordered. There's no fish. Of any kind.

Looking around for hidden cameras, and finding none, I was shocked we were not being filmed for the hit TV show "Punk'd". It seemed hard to believe that it took 20 minutes for the kitchen to realize they have no fish. But, undeterred and with absolutely no alternative restaurants to choose from, we made our substitutions, and settled in for what we presumed would be an unavoidably long wait for food.

And the food here is fine. Not great, but it's fine.
Fine in the way that a 2002 Toyota Corolla is fine. Is it what you dreamed of when you were in college? Of course not. But it'll get you where you're going, and if you park a block away from your meeting, no one sees you reach out the window for the exterior door handle, because the interior one broke a long time ago.

But what probably WILL frustrate you about your used Corolla dinner, is the price. This Toyota comes with a Mercedes price tag.

It seems that this restaurant, and restaurants on the island in general, have figured out American pricing, and American service charges, but have not really cracked the quality of the food or service that would usually command such an expensive meal. Like Tesla's quality control, there's a lot left to be desired, but you convince yourself it's good, because you paid a lot of money for it.

A further frustration is that there are very few restaurants you can go to at all on the island, so much like your wireless plan, you are left with almost no choice but to pay the somewhat extortionate prices.

Sadly, the people here really need help rebuilding their island and their economy. So truly we don't mind the overpriced food. But I have to confess that it feels like the island is not really ready for tourism. And the unfortunate reality is that without money coming in from tourism, they may never be able to rebuild their tourism industry.

One word, Outstanding. Location, hospitality and atmosphere is perfect. I love Treasure Cay.

The beach location and the condo itself are amazing. That unfortunately is where it stops. No water at all at times, electricity in and out, washer/dryer not working (they did get it fixed same day so won't hold that against them). I do think their restaurant is an absolute rip off for quality of food and quite inefficient staff (waited 40 minutes to get served after booking table and even then it was only because we reminded them we were at the table). They don't seem to have dedicated wait staff for certain tables, so became a bit of a free for all. Definitely do NOT recommend Italian night- $55 per person for food that is basically Olive Garden quality. I know this is Bahamas but come on. I think they are trying hard but Treasure Cay as a whole is far from anywhere and absolutely brutal if you didn't bring a full grocery shop with you. The local mini mart really doesn't have much and the only other cafe is amazing, but only takes cash.
Recommendations if you stay here are;
Bring CASH - way more than you think you'll need. Taxis, ferry and Cafe only take cash
Bring FOOD (recommend stopping at Marsh Harbor before making the drive to Treasure Cay. If you don't, you're pretty much hostage to the restaurant (see above).
No need for a Golf Cart as you can only take it around Treasure Cay and at $60 a day, it isn't worth it.
Take the Treasure Cay ferry and do a boat trip from Green Turtle Cay - a third of the price that boats from Treasure Cay charge.
Will definitely return to Bahamas, but not Treasure Cay. They're just not ready for tourists unfortunately but they are amazing people and have been through the worst of.times

I wish I could give this more stars but this ‘resort’ and island as a whole is not ready for tourists. My room had a broke sliding door (on the first floor) that was never fixed a d would not close. Windows had no screens and would not open. Worst was the dead and living bugs in the bathroom and the rat I saw running down past our location to where they served food. And there is no daily housekeeping.

There is a tiny little beach with a few lounging chairs but no chairs to just sit in anywhere.

And the food was hauled back and forth on rolling carts next to our location daily and nightly. And this was more like an airbnb than a resort.

A taxi from the airport was $85 and since there was only one very expensive restaurant ($20 for one drink) you have to get groceries. You think groceries are high here…. And most places, like taxis, do NOT accept credit cards - the only ATM is in Marsh Harbor which is 45 minutes away.

For $450 they found us a rental ‘van’ which I think was pieced together. OMg this was truly a ‘rent a wreck’ as pieces of the vehicle were falling off!

I was angry at how much this trip cost - I could have gone to a true resort somewhere else for the same money. This is not a vacation destination but I do think they could use a lot of help in rebuilding their island.

Excellent location for a family vacation. This resort has all of the amenities that you need to have a fantastic time here in the abacus. The three bedroom condos all with fantastic water views balconies and or lanai's are great value with an on-site swimming pool as well as a restaurant the beach is no more than 100 yards away from any doorway. You are you on 45 minutes away from the airport so plan accordingly it would be advantageous to think about renting a golf cart to get around the closest shopping it's local Mom and Pop liquor store mini market and homemade cooking. Though the island is coming back not every service is available plan accordingly make sure you bring enough medicines and other miscellaneous items to make your stay enjoyable we rented a boat for the day it was enjoyable we had eight people on board between the cost of the boat and fuel it can be a little pricey. Overall a great hit if you want nothing to do but sit enjoy the beach the Sun you can cook your own food or eat at the restaurant though the service at the restaurant is great the delivery of the food to the tables is a little slow. Overall we recommend this location the staff the grounds and the beach are memorable!

Despite being the only dining venue, the people, service, and atmosphere is great. It is great to see the area coming back to life post-Dorian. Keep up the great work. ️

Unbelievably stunning. What a gem this place is! The white sand is so soft, clean; water is clear and comfortable!

Food is great and the beach is outstanding. There aren’t many places full open on the island outside of Marsh Harbor and this place is a welcome refuge.

Everything about Bahama beach club was 1st class from food service to views ambience. Be back for many more trips

We were scheduled to visit again over the Thanksgiving holiday 2019, and we're heartbroken for the devastation that Dorian brought to the BBC and for all of the wonderful people of Treasure Cay and Marsh Harbor. We look forward to the future when we can make our way back to experience everything that makes Treasure Cay and the Bahama Beach Club such a special place. We pray for your rapid recovery!

This is my favorite place on Earth! My family and I stayed here in 2014 and not only was the place beautiful but so was the location and the staff is above and beyond they feel like family it’s so sad to hear it’s been hit so hard by hurricane Dorian and I look forward to returning as soon as they re-open.

The location of the unit was absolutely perfect because it was right by the beach and pool.made it so easy with kids, especially if we forgot something and had to go back. Place was beautiful and staff friendly!

I went out for dinner and the service was horrible, we made reservations for a table and they wanted us to sit at the bar and eat that was unacceptable.

Safe and comfortable place. Quiet and spacious. Soft white sand beach with crystal clear, blue waters.
Immediate action taken when asking The front desk for anything or services.
Enjoy your stay, we certainly did.

Omg this place is fabulous. We had a party there for my birthday and I must say it was the best.
